2023-09 Portret Anne de Blécourt ENG

"I gain a lot of satisfaction from getting to the bottom of an invention and grasping its innovative essence"

Anne de Blécourt studied Applied Physics at Delft University of Technology. During his studies, Anne gained a lot on knowledge regarding the physics underlying various forms of imaging. During his MSc. degree at Delft University of Technology, Anne dove into diverse medical imaging technologies for his masters’ thesis. He also spent a semester abroad at RWTH Aachen in Germany to study energy technology with a focus on nuclear energy.

Anne’s background in applied physics gives him a solid foundation for working in various fields of technology such as the topics mentioned above and e.g. solid state physics and electromagnetism as relied upon in semiconductor industry and photovoltaics. He joined EP&C in January 2019.

Anne enjoys getting to the bottom of how things work. Riding his moped to high school when he was young, he loved to visualize what was going on in the engine underneath him. “I gain a lot of satisfaction from getting to the bottom of an invention and grasping the essence of what makes it innovative. To me, the fact that I can assist the inventor in his innovation process is the icing on the cake.”
