"Inventors create something out of nothing in such a way that is useful to society."
Rik van Stratum studied mechanical engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. From an early age he had a passion for technology and coming up with solutions to technical problems.
Working with clients on patents brings together various interests for Rik. "The legislation is not as boring as it seems. You can approach things from different angles and play with them. Inventors create something out of nothing in such a way that it is useful for society. I am happy to advise them on how they can best enter the market with their inventions. These are the human and commercial aspects of the profession that I enjoy very much."
Rik has an eye for detail and likes to dot the i's and cross the t's. He has a great deal of perseverance and is a perfectionist. Because he regularly lived abroad during his youth he is fluent in several languages and has the ability to quickly adapt to new and unexpected situations.
