"Before an idea takes shape, I am already thinking about how to maximise its return."
Martijn Vermeulen studied Mechanical Engineering in Delft, The Netherlands, and has been a patent attorney with EP&C since 2000. Before that, he worked in the projects department of an engineering firm in the (petro)chemical industry.
Martijn is analytical, precise, focussed and a team player. “We have to make sure that industrial intellectual property gets optimal protection, and that our clients feel justified when doing so. This requires a thorough analysis and well formulated paperwork as well as a good idea of what the future may hold. Before an idea even takes shape, my brain is already thinking about how we can make the most of it. It’s a motivating and inspiring way of working.”
