The Weener Plastic Netherlands designs and manufactures packaging solutions for food and personal care products. This innovative and creative company mainly supplies the parts needed for sealing the packaging, such as lids, dosing caps and caps for aerosol and spray cans. Virtually all of the company’s clients are big players, such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble and Beiersdorf. The seals on packaging are becoming increasingly more advanced. They generally consist of one or more types of plastic and the market is highly competitive. New designs and solutions are being developed all the time. Thanks to its rapid growth, Weener Plastic Packaging Group is turning into one of the leading manufacturers in Europe.
Recognising and assessing the risks
EP&C evaluates the third-party rights for Weener Plastic Netherlands innovations and looks at how much room there is in these for manoeuvre. EP&C also monitors others with respect to Weener Plastic Netherlands patent and design rights. Initially, there were a number of firms dealing with Weener Plastic Packaging Group's Intellectual Property, but now, based on our results, we have been asked to look after all of the group’s patents and designs. Needless to say, we cherish this sign of appreciation for our approach to IP monitoring and protection.
