Johan Volmer

After earning my master’s degree in chemical engineering, I worked as an examiner at the Netherlands Patent Office before joining EP&C in 1993. Over the years, I have worked with clients across a wide range of industries, from industrial printing technology and steel production to packaging and recycling.

A mentor once told me, “As a patent attorney, you are entrusted with your client’s most valuable creations — their ‘love babies.’” That privilege calls for expertise, trust, clear communication, and commercial insight.

I am passionate about finding ways to create value for my clients’ businesses by protecting their inventions and aligning them with their strategic objectives. Developing creative IP solutions is a challenge I embrace with full commitment.
