Johan Volmer

After earning my master’s degree in chemical engineering, I worked as an examiner at the Netherlands Patent Office before joining EP&C in 1993. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with clients in diverse industries, from industrial printing and steel manufacturing to packaging and recycling.

My mentor once told me: “As a patent attorney, you care for your client’s most precious creations—their ‘love babies.’” This privilege requires expertise, trust, clear communication, and commercial insight.

I’m passionate about exploring ways to add value to clients’ businesses by protecting their inventions in alignment with their goals. Finding creative IP solutions is a challenge I embrace wholeheartedly.
