Blog | Isabelle Wolterink appointed as full Equity Partner at EP&C

2023-12 EP&C bericht Isabelle partner_2_Kolom_356x301At EP&C we are getting the year off to an extra festive start. On 1 January Isabelle Wolterink became a full Equity Partner at EP&C. Isabelle joined EP&C as a Patent Attorney in 2003. She has been an Associate Partner since 2019. Her official duties at the Netherlands Institute of Patent Attorneys make her a figurehead for the profession.

Isabelle is delighted with this next step in her career at EP&C. "It's an honour to be asked. I like to contribute ideas and thoughts about the company. I used to do that when I was a member of the Works Council, and will be doing so again in my role as partner." And this is one of the things Isabelle does for her clients as well. She says: "I manage portfolios for a number of clients. Thanks to my experience I now have a key role. I'm very proud of that."

Logical next step

Isabelle's appointment is an asset for our organisation. She is an expert and experienced Patent Attorney. She is appreciated by both her colleagues and clients for her interest in people. Menno Ong, CEO of EP&C, says: "Her partnership is a logical development. She is very good at her job and she has a huge amount of technical expertise. For many people she is an oracle who they can turn to with questions about complex aspects of the job. On a human level too, I find her a pleasant colleague with a warm interest in her fellow human beings. She looks at what is important to others and she will never act out of self-interest."

Responsibility for the profession

Johan Volmer, Chairman of EP&C's partner group, is also pleased with her appointment. "It is great to see that EP&C is growing and that we are able to offer Isabelle this next step. She deserves it. Isabelle has great passion for the profession and she has a strong vision on developments taking place in our industry. She sees opportunities in these developments for our organisation and for clients. In addition, we at EP&C want to take responsibility for the profession. Isabelle's role at the Institute of Patent Attorneys fits in well with that."
