On 11 April the members of the Netherlands Institute of Patent Attorneys elected Isabelle Wolterink as their new Chair. The Netherlands Institute of Patent Attorneys is the professional organisation of all patent attorneys in the Netherlands.
Isabelle is taking over the gavel from outgoing Chair Tiem Reijns. Tiem has every confidence in his successor: "Isabelle is an outstanding patent attorney, articulates clearly and is an excellent communicator. I am sure she will take the Institute another step forward." Isabelle praises Tiem for the way he fulfilled his role as Chair. "Tiem is a special person and a great Chair. The Institute and I will miss him, especially because he always struck the right chord with his humour."
VISION FOR THE NETHERLANDS INSTITUTE OF PATENT ATTORNEYS
IIsabelle has a clear vision of what she wants to focus on with the Institute. "The Institute’s strength lies in the many efforts of its members and the good atmosphere in which that happens. It is precisely that atmosphere and sense of solidarity that I want to protect and build on. After all, it ensures that we are a more than serious discussion partner for our business partners, such as the OCNL and the EPO."
Isabelle Wolterink
Isabelle joined EP&C Patent Attorneys as a Dutch and European Patent Attorney in 2003, became an Associate Partner in 2019 and a Full Equity Partner at the beginning of 2024. She provides clients with advice on all facets of intellectual property law. Isabelle has also been a member of the Executive Board of The Netherlands Institute of Patent Attorneys since 2020.
