IT Service Desk Assistant (first-line support) (full-time / part-time – Rijswijk)

This is what you are going to be doing

Grab this opportunity to experience all aspects of the IT profession. Testing and connecting hardware, solving software problems and managing our external IT supplier. It all comes back to you. You are the first point of call for your colleagues when it comes to IT issues so you will be at the heart of our organisation from day one and will make an impact with your work.

A day as an IT Service Desk Assistant

You're bursting with energy today. And that's just as well because you have a couple of outstanding reports to deal with. You fix a problem with the Authenticator app yourself and forward the report about the printer to the supplier. Meanwhile, a colleague walks in with a question about her monitor; together you make sure everything is up and running again. You quickly shut down your laptop because it's time for a relaxing chair massage. Then you continue working on the plan for the new Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Before you go home, you check to make sure that the workstation for the new colleague starting tomorrow is working as it should.

Sergeï van Russel, IT Coordinator: “When you think of a legal firm you often tend to think of it as a formal and hierarchical organisation, but at EP&C this is definitely not the case. Everyone is very approachable. The atmosphere is very good here."

This is who you are

  • You have successfully completed a level 3 or 4 secondary vocational education course in IT or are in the process of completing a block or day release course in IT.
  • Work experience is not required, but you need to be good at dealing with people.
  • In addition, you should be proactive and solution-oriented.

Dit is het team

Together with the IT Coordinator you form the IT team. You work together a lot and help each other. In addition you will receive support from our external IT supplier. Of course, you will also be given plenty of time and help to familiarise yourself with the job. We learn from each other and there is room for training. If you want to develop further, you can do so, for example, by obtaining certifications. EP&C is a vibrant company with a positive atmosphere where all colleagues are equal.
